Stop five: Hong Kong


Hong Kong is a place where contains the food from all around the 
world. However, it also has its own traditional food. One of them is 
named Egg Waffle.The egg waffle shaped like an egg,one of the 
most popular street foods in Hong Kong.

It is a golden cake of regular egg-shaped balls attached to each other, it looks like a piece of oversized bubble wrap.

Hong Kong egg waffles seemed easy to make, but if you want to make it at home, you will never attempted to have the favor that you are able to get on the streets.

Says in a simple way,they are made of egg,sugar,flour,and milk; after mixed them together, put them into a special honey-comb shape iron, and bake it. Then a nice and golden egg waffle will appear in front of you.

Stop four: Chongqing

Do you know where is Chongqing in China? It's the biggest city in Sichuan Province, at the junction of the Chang and Jialing rivers.

Hotpot is the most famous and favorite dish in Chongqing. Chongqing local people consider the hotpot a local specialty, which is noted for its peppery and hot taste, scalding yet fresh and tender. Nowadays, as a matter of fact, Chongqing hotpot is famous and popular all over the country.

People gather around a small pot filled with flavorful and nutritious soup base. The pot may be boiled by various means, such as charcoal, electric or gas. You have a choice of spicy, pure or combo for the soup. There are a great variety of hotpots, including Yuanyang (Double Tastes) hotpot, four tastes hotpot, fish head hotpot, tonic hotpot, entire sheep hotpot, etc. Chongqing hotpot is characterized by its spiciness, but to suit customers of different preference, salty, sweet or sour flavors of hotpot are available. As long as you can stand the spiciness, you are advised to try the spiciest one to ensure an authentic experience.


Thin sliced raw variety meat, fish, various bean curd products and all kinds of vegetables are the main ingredients for this cuisine. All of these are boiled in the soup, and then you can dip them in a little bowl of special sauce.

Stop three: Guangdong

Guangdong has a lot of delicious desserts, one of the most popular one is Stewed Milk Beancurd from Shunde distinct.

It's easy to make and very healthy. However, if you want to make a very smoothy stewed milk beancurd, it's definitly not a easy job. Now, let's see how to make it.
Ingredients:
2  1/4 cups fresh milk
2 egg white
1 egg yolk (medium size)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 tsp rice vinegar


Method: First of all, parboil fresh milk until barely boiled, and transfer to small bow wait until it gets cool; untill a sheet of milk skin formed on the surface. Make a slit on the edge of bowl. Then whisk egg yolk and egg white (don't ver-whisk to form bubbles), and fold in milk. Meanwhile, add sugar and rice vinegar and Stir until sugar dissolved. Finally, transfer to bowls with milk skin, then steam for 20 minutes over medium heat, and uncover twice to obtain a smooth surface.

You are able to taste stewed milk beancurd in every dessert place in Guangdong, and the average price is around 2 dollars.

Stop two: Shanghai

When it comes to talk about Shanghai, almost everybody will think of  Xiao Long Bao (Little Dragon Bun); however, do you know besides Little Dragon Bun, there is another kind of food that is similar with it ? It's called Pork Pan Fried Bun.

Pork Pan Fried Bun, a popular local snack in Shanghai, is said to have a history of more than 100 years. It has a small and lovely size. Adults can easily swallow one in a bite. With standard Shanghai characteristics, it tastes salty, and meanwhile contains a bit of sweet taste.The bottom of the bun is often properly fried to be crisp, which largely enhances people’s appetite. Its coating is soft and thin. The stuffing meat tastes tender with braised sauce. When you have a bite, you will find that it has the taste of chopped onions and sesame seeds.

It is not difficult to make. Use semi-fermented flour to coat fresh meat and pig skin jelly. And then fry the stuffed buns in a pan. The pig skin jelly coated in the flour will turn into a mixture of pig skin and juice, when exposed to heat During the frying process, sprinkle some water on the buns for several times. Stop one: Beijing

Beijing is the capital city in China. In this big city, food are all over the places; however,the most famous dishes in Beijing is the Roast Duck which also called Peking Duck.


Peking Duck has the reputation of being the most delicious food Beijing has to offer. Eating Peking Duck is seen to be one of the two things you are absolutely supposed to do while in Beijing. The other one is climbing the Great Wall. 

Delicious food always have complicated process.You must wondering how does these delicious roasted duck was made.I am going to tell you some information about it. 
The ingredients of the Peking Duck are: 
One 5 to 6 pound duck
8 cups water
1 slice ginger
1 scallion, cut into halves
3 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 tablespoon sherry
1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch, dissolved in 3 tablespoons water
Scallions for garnish

Then you need to Clean the duck: wipe dry and tie string around neck. After that hang duck in cool, windy place. Four hours later,fill large wok with water, bring to boil mean while add ginger, scallion, honey, vinegar, and sherry. Pour in dissolved cornstarch. Stir constantly.Place duck in large strainer above larger bowl. Scoop boiling mixture all over duck for about 10 minutes. Then hang duck again in cool, windy place. After six hours until thoroughly dry, place duck breast side up on a greased rack in oven preheated to 350 degrees and set a pan filled with 2 inches of water in bottom of oven. (This is for drippings). Now the last big step is coming: roast 30 minutes;turn duck and roast 30 minutes more; then turn breast side up again and roast 10 minutes more. The duck is eaten hot with hoisin sauce rolled in Mandarin Crepes. Garnish with scallion flowerets.
The chef cuts the meat into thin slices at table. Then the meat is served with Chinese onions and special sauce.
